CSSI Leadership

  • Rilwan Ilumoka serves as the Director of Student Accountability & Group Conduct in Columbia University’s Center for Student Success and Intervention. In this role, ​Rilwan leads the Student Group Accountability Review Board process and oversees investigations involving student organizations across the University’s undergraduate and graduate communities. His work is grounded in ensuring fair, consistent, and educational accountability processes for student groups while supervising the Group Conduct team and supporting board training and policy education across the institution.

    Previously, Rilwan served as Associate Director of Student Conduct at Columbia University, where he adjudicated academic and behavioral misconduct cases through the Dean’s Discipline process. ​Rilwan has also held student conduct and residential life leadership roles at Boston College and Bryant University, including Assistant Dean of Student Conduct and Associate Director of Community Standards. Throughout his career, Rilwan has led complex conduct and Title IX investigations, chaired and trained faculty/staff and student-led hearing boards, collaborated with campus partners, and supported students and campus communities through complex and sensitive situations.

    Rilwan earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education ​& Student Affairs from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Health Policy & Management from Providence College, with minors in Black Studies and Sociology.​ Originally from Pawtucket, Rhode Island, Rilwan enjoys working out, gaming, and listening to comedy podcasts outside of work.

  • Katie serves as the Senior Associate Director of Case Management and Student Support within Columbia’s Center for Student Success and Intervention (CSSI). She previously held the role of Associate Director of Student Conduct from 2021 to 2023.

    Katie brings extensive experience in student conduct administration, case management, and clinical counseling. Her work is grounded in an empathetic, student-centered approach that prioritizes holistic support, equitable outcomes, and developmental growth. She is committed to fostering environments that balance accountability with care.

    Prior to joining Columbia, Katie worked at UCLA and The University of Texas at Austin, where she investigated and adjudicated complex academic and behavioral misconduct matters, including leading student organization misconduct investigations. Katie holds a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Scranton. During her graduate studies, she completed field placements with the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, supporting youth navigating the juvenile justice system, and provided short-term counseling services to students at CUNY Hunter College.

    A native New Yorker who grew up in California, Virginia, and Florida, Katie enjoys spending time with her dog, reading, and seeing as much live music as possible. 
     

  • Jessica is the Executive Director of Community Standards and Accountability in Columbia University’s Center for Student Success and Intervention (CSSI). In this role, she oversees the University’s response to student group, academic, and non-academic misconduct, leading the Student Group Accountability (SGARB) and Dean’s Discipline processes across 17 schools. Her work focuses on ensuring transparent, consistent, and accessible implementation of community standards and behavioral expectations; partnering closely with campus stakeholders to support fair and educational resolutions.  In addition, she leads prevention and learning efforts through student and faculty outreach, compliance-informed reporting, and community standards programming and training. 

    For the first 25 years of her career and prior to joining Columbia in August of 2023, Jessica held senior student life leadership roles in independent schools and higher education. She most recently served as Upper School Assistant Principal at Trinity School, overseeing all aspects of student life; including advising, student support systems, and the student conduct process; and previously was Dean of Students at The Masters School, where she led the Student Affairs team supporting both a day and boarding community. Earlier in her career, Jessica spent 14 years in higher education, a decade at Barnard College where she served as Associate Dean for Student Life, Director of College Activities, and Director of First-Year Focus, and residential life roles at Seton Hall University and Manhattanville University. Throughout her work, she has advised student government, implemented large-scale University programs and campus traditions, led strategic planning initiatives, and built strong partnerships across University communities.

    Jessica received her MA in Education, Leadership, Training and Development from Seton Hall University and her BA in English from SUNY New Paltz.  She is also a life-long New Yorker who loves to garden, solve puzzles, and enjoy any moment she can on the beach when not at work!

  • Denée is the Director of Operations and Engagement in Columbia University’s Center for Student Success and Intervention (CSSI). In this role, she leads cross-functional operational strategy and engagement efforts that strengthen the Center’s ability to deliver effective student support and conduct processes. Her work focuses on building sustainable systems, improving processes, and advancing clear, coordinated communication across stakeholders to reduce barriers for students and improve the overall student experience.

    A New York native, Denée earned a Master of Science in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University at Albany (SUNY) and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Binghamton University (SUNY). She brings experience in operations, strategic communications, data management, and technology across both K-12 and higher education, with a consistent focus on practical solutions that help students access resources, navigate challenges, and thrive academically.

    Prior to joining Columbia and CSSI, Denée served as Executive Assistant to the President at SUNY Old Westbury, supporting senior leadership operations and institution-wide priorities. She previously worked in Student Activities and Event Operations, where she helped deliver high-impact programs and experiences that strengthened campus life and community.

    Denée is actively engaged in professional organizations that support her commitment to continuous learning and leadership in student affairs, including NASPA, LICSPA, and ACUI. She served as President of LICSPA from 2021 to 2024, helping advance professional development, knowledge sharing, and community building across the region.

    Outside of work, Denée is an avid reader who enjoys visiting local bookstores and libraries. She also values wellness routines, including Pilates and meditation.

  • Claudia Marin Andrade serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Success and Intervention, developing and implementing a comprehensive student support Center that holistically looks at student conduct, case management, and student support initiatives deploying a best-in-class unit that utilizes a 360-degree lens to approach student support. In her role, Claudia partners across Columbia’s undergraduate and graduate schools, intently focused on incorporating supportive measures for students with more significant needs, including students managing academic and behavioral issues, students of concern, and students with unmet basic needs.

    Claudia has been responsible for integral areas within Student Affairs throughout her career, including providing leadership and vision, as well as implementing rigorous assessment, strategic planning, and critical incident management. Prior to arriving at Columbia University, Claudia served as the Interim Vice President of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students at the State University of New York at Old Westbury. Previously, Claudia founded Hofstra University’s Office of Student Advocacy and Prevention Awareness and served as the Assistant Dean of Students where she developed the behavioral intervention team; redesigned a mentor program geared to support students within high-risk identities; and led strategic planning and assessment measures for the Division of Student Affairs. Claudia also spent 10 years at the Rose Hill Campus of Fordham University, where she held several positions, including serving as the inaugural Director of the Office of Substance Abuse Prevention and Student Support and was also the Associate Director of Residential Life for Judicial Affairs. Prior to Fordham University, Claudia began her Higher Education journey at Manhattanville College.

    Before entering Higher Education full-time, Claudia was a psychiatric social worker and case manager. Claudia is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education Policy and Leadership at Hofstra University, holds a Master of Social Work from Fordham's Graduate School of Social Service and completed a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree from Manhattanville College.

    Born in Cali, Colombia and raised in Queens, she now lives in Long Island with her family and beloved bulldogs. Claudia loves walking around the Morningside campus and meeting fellow Columbians!
