Living in apartments throughout NYC can be tough. From navigating landlords, rent payments, leases, noisy neighbors, stolen packages, and unwelcome pests, there is so much to figure out. If you have been struggling with problems with your off-campus apartment or just want to learn more about your rights as a tenant in NYC, this virtual workshop is for you! Come connect with peers and join the Center for Student Success and Interventions's Case Management and Student Support team as we talk about your rights as tenants as how to navigate some of the sticker moments you may face in the big apple.
The Case Management and Student Support team is dedicated to helping students identify and connect with resources to address their basic needs, including housing insecurity. Since we are not lawyers, the content of this presentation should not be considered legal advice, however, we will be sharing resources for legal support in case you need it.
This workshop is being rescheduled. We will reach out once we have a new set date.
