Navigating New York City can feel overwhelming, but there are many resources available to help you get around safely and confidently. During this virtual workshop, students will learn about transportation and safety resources available both on and off campus.
We’ll cover Columbia resources such as the University Shuttle Bus system, Public Safety Safety Escorts, and the Safe Haven program, as well as NYC transportation resources including OMNY, Citi Bike, and the Fair Fares discounted transit program. We’ll also share practical safety tips and helpful information for navigating the subway and traveling throughout the city.
Whether you’re new to New York City or simply looking to learn more about the transportation resources available to you, this workshop will help you feel more prepared to get around NYC.
