Give back this November by participating in the Food Pantry at Columbia’s annual Cans-Giving Drive! Throughout the month, students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, meal kits, and financial contributions to help stock the Food Pantry ahead of the holiday season.
Donation bins will be available across campus, including at the 8th floor of Watson Hall, the Lerner Hall Food Pantry, the 50 Haven Food Pantry, and participating residential halls.

This year, the Food Pantry is partnering with Residential Life for a friendly competition among residential halls! Students can scan the QR code on any donation bin to identify their residential hall and help their hall earn credit for their donation. The residential hall with the most donated items at the end of Cans-Giving will win the opportunity to host the next Res Hall Study Session.
Every donation makes a difference—help support the Columbia community while showing some Res Hall spirit!
